Signers of this e-petition want it to be made illegal for anybody renting a property to discriminate against those who are in receipt, or those who will be in receipt, of Local Housing Allowance (more commonly known as DSS) unless they have good cause; for example, the prospective tenant is found to have a housing related ASBOs.

Signers of this e-petition also agree that in the event of a law being passed to prevent such discrimination, the Landlord/lady should then not be able to request outrageous or unreasonable terms and conditions for a prospective tenant to gain a tenancy agreement with themselves; for example, not accepting a local authorities Landlord Bond Scheme.
