In the latest round of defence cuts, Army sourses say one of the Battalions facing the Axe will be the Army Regiment named after Waterloo hero, The Duke of Wellington.
This would be a huge loss to the Army as a whole due to the Regiments unique history and a massive loss to the People of Yorkshire, the regiments home.
This petition seeks to demonstrate the strength of feeling and urges the Government to re consider.
