The Olympics are the greatest sport opportunity Britain has been given in decades. It is grotesque that a fast food restaurant should be allowed to sell junk food just yards from the Olympic stadium.

This petition calls for McDonald's to be prohibited from selling food at the Olympic Stadium.

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.

As Worldwide Olympic sponsors, McDonalds have a contractual relationship with the IOC and have a long term commitment to the Olympic Movement and its ideals.

The IOC has sole responsibility for negotiations concerning worldwide Olympic sponsors. Therefore, this is not a matter for the Government, or the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games – who have their own domestic sponsors for the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
