With the ridiculous cuts to the military particulary the infantry regiments it makes no sense to cut 3 Mercian ( Staffords ) when non infantry regiments are being saved the infantry are the backbone of the army and are the regiments taking most risk . This regiment as a famous and glorious past. IT MUST NOT BE ALLOWED TO BE DISBANDED !
