Closed Save the Maternity Unit at Furness General Hospital

The maternity unit at Furness General Hospital in Barrow-in-Furness is facing the threat of being downgraded in a forthcoming review of services by Morecambe Bay University Hospitals Trust. Losing consultant-led care in Barrow would result in women facing complicated births being forced to travel an hour to Lancaster.
We urge the government to step in and guarantee the current level of consultant-led maternity services at Furness General Hospital.
