Closed petition Review of Dangerous Dogs Act & Dog Licensing
Closed on
We would like to government to review the dangerous dogs act and make major changes this includes
Bring back dog licensing make it compulsory all dogs must be licensed and micro chipped, dogs must wear a disc on their collar with their individual license number on this, community support officers can randomly do checks on dogs in the street and seize any dogs without a license on their collar. Any dog who is not licensed and chipped the owner is given 14 days to do this, if the owner does not comply the dog is micro chipped, licensed and rehomed.
Take banned breeds off the DDA and ensure dog owners are punished with large fines and long prison sentences for their dogs actions. On the spot fines for owners with a dog seen as out of control. Ban the deed not the breed!
Only people over 21 to own bull terrier breeds
(no more teenagers using them as status dogs)
Breeders need to have special licensed and neutering to be law for any person without a breeding license.
