For the government to pass legislation that means anyone who reaches the state pension age is exempt from paying any further income tax

Rationale.

Members of the working public work all their lives paying tax and National insurance.It is time that we as a society looked after our elderly. A good start would be to absolve them of any further income tax therefore meaning that many will not have to live in poverty again and that their pensions, which they have worked for all their lives, will be theirs to keep
