Surely it is time we recognised the achievements of winning gold Olympic medalists, World Champions and the ongoing world acclaim for these sports people whose amazing contributions to the sports' world has not been acknowledged or properly recognised.

I am sure knighthoods would be the correct honour for their achievements.
