Closed The Cancer Act 1939 needs strengthening to stop quacks and charlatans preying on the sick.

The Cancer Act 1939 is a great piece of legislation that restricts the ability of people and organisations to makes claims of curing cancer. Nevertheless, there are many "complementary and alternative medicine" practitioners who sidestep the Act by not making direct claims of benefit. The Act should be strengthened so that any claim of benefit can only be made where scientific evidence exists to support them.
