Petition Reduce the length of time required to claim unfair dismissal

We, the undersigned, believe that the length of time required to claim unfair dismissal against an employer (currently requires you to have worked at your employer for 2 years or more) needs to be reduced immediately.

People may feel secure in their job if they've worked there for months, but not years; and yet they could lose their job in a heartbeat without any reason.

We want the government to lower the time requirement to claim unfair dismissal to 3 months. After working a job for 3-6 months, a person should be able to feel secure in their job, rather than worrying every day about their job security!
