Decide on the legal status of each illegal recreational drug based on independent advice looking at the impact on health, society and other relevant factors.

Politics has criminalized recreational drugs, not practical scientific research that has often questioned the usefulness of prohibition of certain drugs.

Decisions should be based on merit in this instance, currently prohibition is leading to poor quality drugs being consumed, decriminalization and or legalization of possession and or cultivation of drugs could take money and power away from gangs, and improve the quality of drugs available while also ensuring support could be given to problem users. There is also significant potential to generate government income from taxing/licensing of currently illicit drugs.
