Rejected petition abolish the TV licence fee why should we risk jail for non payment ??

I do not agree in this day and age of hundreds of free tv channels we should be FORCED to pay for a TV licence and risk going to jail for it !!
I would like the fee abolished or at least the punishment drastically reduced !
