People who make false racism accusations should be punished the same as someone who makes racist comments themselves.

Too many times people accuse others of racism for revenge or personal benefit or jumping to conclusions too quickly.

Because of the taboo around the subject the defendant, witness or investigator are intimidated.

So the person making the accusations either wins or nothing is done at all, and they get away with making a false accusation and causing distress.
