Rejected petition Make the Sun issue a public apology to Prince Harry for invading his private life with motivations based purely on sleaze and profits.
More details
Prince Harry is an unmarried young man, he was committing no crime, nor was he involved in any public duties. He was just a young man having fun, and doing what most young men would love to do.
Most people have at times participated in wild but legal activities, and no body should have their lives so public paraded for the profits of a newspaper.
The Suns motivations were not in the public interest, they have humiliated a dedicated soldier and excellent public servant for their own gains.
I would not portray myself a royalist, however I do appreciate the hard work of Prince Harry. The Sun should be forced to print a very public front page apology!
This petition was rejected
Why was this petition rejected?
It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.
In the UK, the press is not subject to state regulation. The Government believes that this is fundamental to our democracy. That is why the government does not interfere in what a newspaper or magazine chooses to publish
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
