Closed The Scrapping of HMS Ark Royal should not occur

I and many others are disgusted that HMS Ark Royal is to be scrapped to 'assist the deficit' for a reported value of £3m.
I believe this ship should be saved by the nation and for the nation. This is broadly equivalent to the bonuses of two bankers and two further such people could pay for the refurbishment. The ship could be used either as a school for many aspects of teaching and also for training of Sea cadets and others.
