That Sir Irvine Patnick, former Sheffield Hallam MP, be stripped of his knighthood as a result of his disgraceful and wickedly deceitful role in the cover up of the Hillsborough disaster.

As one of the main sources of a vile and despicable smear campaign that sought to wrongly blame Liverpool fans for the Hillsborough disaster, which resulted in innocent people being victimised and stigmatised for 23 years, he does not deserve to continue to be the holder of a national honour, after his part in this national disgrace was revealed by the Hillsborough Independent Panel.
