Closed petition SAY NO TO DRUG SHORTAGES - Imposed quota system and restrictions has led to drug shortages

Closed on

Drug companies are breaking their legal obligation and compromising patient safety by restricting supplies of medication to wholesalers, community pharmacists and patients in the UK, in an effort to stop the free movement of goods across Europe.

The EU is a single market and allows the free movement of goods, including pharmaceuticals, between EU member states, providing access to medication at the best price available.

The government and healthcare regulators must stop this abuse of process and force manufacturers to produce enough to satisfy EU demand and not restrict trade. If we continue without taking action the rich will get the drugs they need and those who cannot afford to pay for them privately will suffer greatly. Which tier of society will you be on?

Stop the abuse - Sign up now and make the government and healthcare regulators take action.
