Closed People with criminal records to be barred from becoming an MP

MPs and Members of the House of Lords should be held to a higher standard than at present.

I ask that parliamentary candidates are barred from public office if they have a criminal record.

Moreover any existing Member holding a criminal record should be stripped of office, title and all associated privileges.

We don't expect our police or judiciary to be former criminals and have the right to expect the same standard of our government.
