Closed Hillsborough: Straw blames Thatcher for police

We (adults at the time) clearly remember the atmosphere in which the Police operated and agree wholeheartedly with the assertion by Jack Straw today (13 September 2012) that "Margaret Thatcher's government created a "culture of impunity" in the police that led to the Hillsborough cover-up" and
that ". . . the then Conservative government was complicit because they needed "partisan" support from the police."

We want the current Government to admit the truth of this and to apologise for the damage done to public confidence in the Police by the policies of the previous Conservative Government.
