I propose that to get the economy in general and the construction industry in particular moving in the right direction that, instead of quantative easing the bank of England makes available loans directly to 1st time buyers for new build propertys. This loan would be repaid through a change in the recipients tax code, as this would incur very little additional costs to the government.
