There is currently no deterrent for those who seek to obstruct, abuse, assault, or even murder Police or other warranted law enforcement officials in the UK.

There are sentencing guidelines for all offences in the UK, and maximum penalties are rarely offered by judges. However, they DO serve as a deterrent for some offences.

Restore the death penalty as the maximum sentence for the murder of Police Officers, and other law enforcement agency officers, and show the Government's support for a role that is extremely dangerous and which puts every day, unarmed people in danger of losing their lives.
