Petition Make the air rifle restriction an average, not defined

Whilst we understand that it's our responsibility to insure that our firearms don't break the law and that we take the utmost professionalism and care the fact that we could end up in serious trouble for a 12.01ftlbs air rifle is undemocratic and a weight on our shoulders.

Many Co2 powered air rifles will fluctuate in different temps and if legal outside could be over the limit if the police test them in a warmer environment, plus many pellets can also take legal limit rifles slightly over the limit.

We the electorate would like the 12ftlb limit to be changed to a 12ftlb average, there is practically no difference between 11.86ftlbs and 12.14ftlbs and this will allow us to keep within the law whilst being fairer to all of us.
