It is clear Cybercrime is on the increase, It has been estimated that UK businesses and UK citizens lose approximately 21 Billion pounds a year due to cybercrime and online frauds however it is clear the current police infrastructure here in the UK neither have the experience needed or indeed the resources to handle all the different types of cybercrime. Should the crime be perpetrated by somebody in another country they have little or no jurisdiction.

What we need as a matter or urgency is both a national and international computer crime agency tackling the crimes of the 21st century. These crime agencies should have alliances with all other countries so that there are simply no borders when it comes to these types of crimes.

If we are connected to the world then we must police the part we control correctly
