The Chief Whip exists only to cajole and coerce dissenting MPs, who still have a mind of their own regarding how they should represent their electorate, to toe to party line. The activities of the Chief Whip contribute NOTHING to the running of the country nor the operation of government. WHAT HE DOES IS ENTIRELY PARTY POLITICAL ACTIVITY AND IT MUST NOT BE UP TO THE TAXPAYER TO FUND PARTY POLITICAL ACTIVITY.
