the government must regulate the franchising industry similar to the regulations that govern the franchise industry in the united states. the BFA is funded by the franchisors and shows no help to franchisees. a lot of people have been made bankrupt due to franchising in the uk. banks do not even carry out proper credit checks on franchisors and have no obligation to reveal their findings to potential franchisees.
