Haemodialysis/haemodifiltration machines are expensive, costing between £7,500 and £15,000, the global dialysis market for 2011 was worth around $75 BN for 2011, of which dialysis products producing a revenue of around $13 BN and dialysis services (including dialysis drugs) revenue of approximately $62 BN. The three largest manufacturers of dialysis products together account for approximately 65% of the world wide market.

Request the Department of Health :-
a) Confirm the manufacturing cost for hameodialysis machines used by NHS using professional tear down analysis services, publish report.
b) Confirm the manufacturing cost for hameodifiltration machines used by NHS using professional tear down analysis services, publish report.
c) Support an initiative to produce a generic portable haemodialysis/hameodifiltration machine costing less than two thousand pounds.
