Currently if you are under the age of 25 and live on your own and would like a Local Authority Bursary, you have to provide your parents information and will be judged on that information, unless you can provide proof that you have been providing for yourself for 3 years. I would like for this to be changed as it causes for a lot of young people who have just moved out, having to leave college after finding out they will not get the financial help they need.
