Closed Protect Freedom of Speech

We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister and associated personnel and ministries to protect the peoples right to freedom of speech regardless of offense caused.

Various persons have been charged under the Communications Act 2003 for offensive comments they published on social networks. Various persons have also been charged under the Public Order Act for as much as bad language.

This is not acceptable. If freedom of speech is not absolute, then it is not freedom of speech at all, regardless of how abhorrent the nature of said speech.
