Petition Driving Licence - Compulsory Re Test every 10 years

I propose that all drivers should be re tested every 10 years from the age of 30.
In industry it is normal practice and a H&S requirement to re test forklift drivers and certify every three years. Why not introduce to motor vehicles. This will ensure only competent and safe drivers legitimately take to the roads. It will weed out those individuals no longer capable of driving a vehicle for whatever reason.
Those convicted of a serious motoring offences should also be made to Re Test having served a ban.
