Poor, hard done by, British Gas are so broke that they have to put up prices by another 8% just before winter...... strange that since Wholesale prices have risen by around £190 since 2005 and yet retail prices have soared by nearly £450 over the same period. how does this affect their profits?

Well, in the first half of this year, Centrica (the company that both wholesales energy to B-Gas and owns B-Gas) made a profit of £1.7bn in the first 6 months or a profit of £3.548 BILLION for the year...... assuming that they didnt increase prices by 8%.

We the undersigned think that OFGEM should take action to PROTECT CONSUMERS and STOP FURTHER PRICE RISES or be disbanded as a waste of space quango that protects Big Business?
