It seems clear that the problems exposed recently in relation to potential commercially influential contacts between ex-military persons of high rank and the MOD are but the tip of an iceberg when the extent of commercial lobbying of Ministers is taken into account.

The petitioners therefore call for the arrangement within this session of a House of Commons debate on the motion "This House calls for immediate enactment of the recommendations of the Public Administration Select Committee in its report from the 2008-2009 session on 'Lobbying: access and influence in Whitehall' ".
