GIFT VOUCHERS/CARDS NEED TO HAVE PROTECTION IN PLACE.. it's only fair!

It's plainly wrong that retailers can take money in advance and then when the time comes due to going into administration can refuse to honour the contract made with the purchaser to allow the fund value to be redeemed up to the face value of the voucher/ gift card.

Vouchers and Gift Cards are becoming far more popular and this increases the risk of many more people becoming victims through no fault of their own.

The Government should protect by law the rights of the voucher/gift card to redeem the full face value against goods or by cash refund.
