Rejected petition Ban Sale of Fireworks to the Public
More details
BAN SALES OF FIREWORKS TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT AND LICENCE ORGANISED DISPLAYS.
RESTRICT FIREWORK NIGHT TO ONE DESIGNATED NIGHT OF THE YEAR (EITHER NOVEMBER 5TH OR THE NEAREST SATURDAY TO NOVEMBER 5TH).
UNDER AGE PEOPLE CAN STILL GET HOLD OF FIREWORKS DESPITE CURRENT REGULATIONS.
IN VIEW OF THE HORRIFIC FIREWORK ACCIDENT IN MANCHESTER ISN'T IT ABOUT TIME THERE IS NOW A BAN ON FIREWORK SALES TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC? HOW MANY MORE ACCIDENTS AND HORRIFIC INCIDENTS NEED TO HAPPEN BEFORE OPINIONS CHANGE AND THEY ARE BANNED FROM PUBLIC SALE.
IT IS VERY, VERY SAD INDEED THAT ANYONE CAN BUY HUGE FIREWORKS AND SET THEM OFF WILLY NILLY ALL YEAR LONG, SCARING PETS AND ALL THE NEIGHBOURHOOD AND WILDLIFE INCLUDING BIRDS.
ISN'T IT ABOUT TIME THEY WERE BANNED NOW ESPECIALLY WHEN THUGS GET HOLD OF THEM AND DELIBERATELY HORRIFICALLY INJURE HURT ANIMALS AND OTHER PEOPLE.
HOSPITALS ARE ON ALERT AT THIS TIME OF YEAR AND IT JUST ISN'T RIGHT OR JUSTIFIED ANY MORE.
