The Living Wage was established by Citizens UK in 2001 and is calculated independently by the Centre for Research in Social Policy according to the cost of living to give the minimum pay rate required for a worker to provide his or her family with the essentials of life.

Payment of the Living Wage has already lifted thousands of families out of poverty.

This petition requests that the Government make payment of at least the Living Wage mandatory.
