Petition More money invested into problem gambling from gambling industry and tighter controls on gambling advertising.

GAMBLING RUINS LIVES
The gambling industry makes voluntary contributions of just £6m a year in an industry worth 5.6bill.
We have an epidemic of problem gamblers on our hands since the government relaxed the gambling laws.
I propose that the government forces the gambling industry to invest much more money into research education and treatment for problem gamblers.With 450,000 and probably more problem gamblers in the U.K the fact we have just 1 NHS clinic to treat people is laughable.
To help control the increasing amounts of problem gamblers the huge amounts of advertising within the industry(Daytime T.V,internet media,and almost every sporting event and everywhere else you can think of!)stricter regulations into advertising need to implemented NOW.
Of all the addictions gambling has the highest rate of suicide,its a recognized mental-illness and RUINS PEOPLES LIVES.
