Rejected petition Newsnight

More details

People make mistakes and in this case, several have paid for those mistakes with their jobs. Newsnight should be saved, as it has decades of great work behind it and a brand that I feel I shall be able to trust again. Along with Channel 4 News, it is the only quality daily news programme left. Heaven help us if all we end up with is the celeb led news of some of the commercial channels! Save Newsnight.

Responsibility for what is broadcast on television and radio rests with the broadcasters and the organisations which regulate broadcasting - the Office of Communications (OFCOM), the BBC Trust and the Welsh Fourth Channel Authority (S4C). They are independent of the Government.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
