Rejected petition BBC - Run It Like A Business

Currently the BBC knows exactly how much money it is going to receive (Licence fee) and this is a guaranteed income, how can we expect it to be run properly if it knows whatever happens it will still receive this money?!

It should have to generate its own income via advertising if required and not hold the UK public to ransom for the fee.

Then at last it might be run properly and the management and staff wont have a guaranteed income!
