WE OPPOSE THE CURRENT PLANS TO REMOVE TRAUMA & ORTHOPAEDICS AND GENERAL SURGERY AND SUPPORT KEEPING ALL CORE SERVICES AT THE EASTBOURNE DGH.
Some core services are interdependent. It is likely the loss of orthopedics and general surgery could impact on 24/7 A & E full service, 24/7 in-patient Pediatric beds, 24/7 Consultant - led Obstetric service, 24/7 acute Medical and Coronary care beds, 24/7 acute Surgical, I.T.U. & H.D.U. beds and any downgrade in Maternity and Children’s services.
