Rejected petition Stop UK aid money going to wealthy countries and suspend all foreign aid for the next five years

The UK spends £8 Billion per year on foreign aid to countries including (but not all):
China, Russia, Pakistan and India which can afford to spend billions of their own money keeping a nuclear arsenal.
The UK also sends aid to Brazil a country that can fund the next Olympics and Iceland that is officially wealthier than the UK.
With all the public spending cuts, in an attempt to reduce the ongoing deficit we propose that all foreign aid is suspended for the next 5 years and no future payments made to countries that can afford to keep an nuclear arsenal.
