To bring forward plans for the electrification of the Midland Mainline track to London's St Pancras to include a new Eurostar hub in Leicester.
Leicester is the second largest city in the midlands with a vibrant multicultural population ready to embrace visitors. Leicester has excellent road and rail links to the other major conurbations in the midlands and there is scope to rebuild in the underused site of the former BT building.
