Call upon the government to require train operaing companies and network rail to plan and implement suitable and effective measures to ensure that rail services continue to operate during adverse weather.

Adverse weather includes weather which can be normally experienced in the UK, such as fog, rain, snow, ice, and similar.

The government must build in a requirement for prepardeness and mointor how services run, fining companies which fail to provide services, and ultimately removing franchises should there be no improvement.
