We ask the Government to accept the proposal put forward by MP Dr Liam Fox that the Government adopts a settled position on the UK relationship with the European Union by August 2013.

We accept that the coalition may have competing views. But in the Spirit of democracy, both coalition parties must set out their settled view on a relationship with Europe, even if the views expressed by the coaltion parties are not concurrent with each other.
