A factor in Sam Harding's tragic and unnecessary death was excessive tinting of windows. Car windows are not just for looking out of. If drivers, cyclists, motorcyclists and pedestrians can see people in cars they can judge their body language and level of attention. This is an important element of road safety and should not be overruled by cosmetic and vanity considerations.
