Rejected petition Allow TV licensing enforcement officers to be armed.

In these current "austerity times", the public try to evade the TV licence. Enforcement officers are sent to offending properties to sell a TV licence to the "Legal Occupier". Recently, enforcement officers have come under an increasing level of abuse and resistance. Please can the government consider arming enforcement officers (aka salesman) with semi-automatic weapons, pepper spray, tear gas and pocket sized nuclear weapons (but nothing too dangerous).
