Rejected petition Stop giving overseas aid while the UK is in a time of austerity

We are giving billions of pounds in overseas aid, many of the countries do not need the money we give, many are dictatorships or corrupt to the core so the intended recipients will never see the money, the UK is in a time of austerity, that money should used to pay of our deficit and stabilize our economy. This money belongs to us, the tax payer, I do not believe the government's policy is reflective of public feeling in this issue
