Closed Driver Certificate Professional Competence DCPC Exemption

We request that an exemption clause be included within the DCPC regulations for drivers who have worked/served 5 years or more within the Road Haulage Industry.

We feel the DCPC is unfair & unwarranted with regard to time served drivers, in fact we feel it insults our professionalism as professional drivers.

The DCPC is unwarranted & an inconvenience to Road Haulage Companies costing driver down time, money & a loss of revenue & earnings etc.

We supply on demand a 24/7 service moving urgently needed equipment & supplies not only within the UK, but also to mainland Europe & beyond.

Should an exemption clause not be implemented many experienced time served drivers will leave the profession, this may cause untold damage to the UK supply chain in years to come.
