Closed petition ban houshold bonfires
Closed on
please help stop household Bonfires, for Health, environment there is no reason for bonfires most councils offer recycling keeping taxes down as it generates income, the harmful effects in our high density way of living as more suffer from respiratory problems Asthma bonfire can and does cause bad attacks leading to medical treatment and even death. Worst of all is when plastics are burnt as a neighbour does in burning things like cement bags, tetra packs & burning wrapping paper plastic type in our area the recycling is extreamley good be it they dont take black plastic or tetra packs but these can be put in normal bins or taken to some supermarkets or recycle sites, the environment is affected in adding to the green house affect, no need to burn garden waste as can also be composted or recycled again councils offer where they in turn sell to company's for composting rather than land fill people start building garden waste leaving it where wildlife go nest
