Closed petition Get cyclists off the roads and on the pavement

Closed on

The number of cyclists being seriously injured on our roads are increasing.

There is no substantiated evidence that suggests the use of cycle helmets can prevent serious head injury so the only other way to promote the use of this safe, green and healthy mode of transport where dedicated cycle lanes are not provided, is to allow cyclists off the roads and on to the pavement.

As long as pedestrians are given the right of way and cyclists are aware of their liability should any collisions occur, then hopefully we’ll get a lot more people out of cars and exercising.
