Closed petition END WAR AND HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS, HELP WAR REFUGEES, ENGAGE AND MEDIATE FOR PEACE IN KACHIN STATE, BURMA (MYANMAR)

Closed on

That Her Majesty's Government should urgently call the Burmese ( Myanmar) government to halt the air attacks and heavy artillery shelling on Kachin and stop the violence against the Kachin villagers daily.

We ask Her Majesty Government to actively engage and mediate with the Burmese government and the Kachin Independence Organization (KIO) for peace and national reconciliation.

We ask Her Majesty's Government to help ensure that more than 100,000 displaced Kachin villagers receive humanitarian assistance.

We ask Her Majesty's Government to protect the internally displaced persons (IDPs) camps in the Burma and China border.

It is time that Her Majesty’s Government review policy on Burma. We call for more investment in peace and peacemaking, and resolving political conflict.
