All Government contact numbers use premium rate phone numbers starting with 0870 or 0844.

I believe that we all pay enough tax and when any of us need to contact any Government department, that call should be free.

For instance why should I have to pay a premium rate to contact a Cheshire magistrates office in order to talk about compensation that is owed to me.

Isn't that court funded by us in taxes and multiple fines anyway, why should we give extra.
